This team is not clicking or show little to no motivation. Game plan falls apart right away, no hustle on offense or defense, standing around looking at the ball. AB should be at the post getting fed the ball to shoot and open things up for the guards. AB has lost confidence because she isn't being used effectively like last year. Coaching staff should be replaced immediately.

Obviously, it's up to the players to motivate themselves. I mean, they're professionals and that's what professionals do. However, it is also the coach's responsibility to motivate his or her team as well. So, for her to suggest that "you can't coach effort" is essentially shirking her responsibilities. And if she doesn't understand this fundamental concept then she needs to resign. Now, that's not saying that she shouldn't have benched one--or all--of her starters. However, what she could have said was something along the lines of "I didn't like the way in which they were performing" or "I wanted to give the other players a chance to see what they could do." That's how you take ownership! And the fact that she didn't do that is disturbing.

The Fever were abysmal! Not sure the remedy, but it may require a coaching change and/or wholesale team rebuild with all new players. The Fever’s two #1 picks are lost in a sea of mediocrity. So sad to watch the two experiencing death by a thousand cuts.

Seeing the hustle of some of the bench players makes you wonder why they haven't been starting before now so that they could see who fits well with Caitlyn Clark. She is so tightly marked that most of her teammates get easy looks and still miss. And the screening for her is pretty pathetic in my opinion. All she needs is a decent screen and a good look and she can make a better percentage of threes.

We have been saying all season that coach should focus more on inside out game to give CC and shooters cleaner looks. The coach needs to do this as all teams do. Team sport. Help Caitlin succeed by everyone getting touches. Caitlin is having to work too hard. Coach is putting too much on her instead of putting entire team in Position to play in their strengths.

I saw CC stop after turning the ball over. You have to hustle back and get on defense. You can’t just give up and watch the other player run down the court. She wasn’t the only one, but she’s the star of the team. I’d be upset about that too.
