I'd like to shout out the Barbary Corsair, while you're busy winning the war with Janissary's you're raiding every coastal tile in the world in record time. Plus the CPU doesn't do to well with their navy so it's a big bonus.

Unless they changed it, Magnus with Provision also bypasses the population cost needed to make Jannisaries, removing their only drawbac

I am a little surprised the Hul’che didn’t get an honorable mention at least. 28 base +5 vs wounded units +5 within 6 tiles of capital. I had a great game where I was able to take them on the offensive but would concede they are more defensive in nature.

Before going in, I can guess at least 3 of them are gonna be the Janissary, Tagma, and the Legion. 100% sure on Janissary and Legion.

I think all these are great, one more honorable mention to the Domrey. Yes I’m biased, but for 5 less CS than the bombard, you get to move and shoot, work with earlier great generals, and come an era earlier. If there was a unique swordsman that’s only unique aspect was it came at bronze working instead of iron working it would be broken.

My personal favorites is the Greek hoplite, because you can get them early game just from studying brawn’s, and they are very helpful for defending your city’s early game from barbarian invasions.

number one is clearly a tie between the warakaq and the p 51 mustang, the most useful units in the game

Can you also do the top 5/top 5 worst infrastructures? Including unique districts, (district) buildings. and (tile) improvements.

Conquistadors are tricky, but it's a unit that can reach 100 CS against districts. Wars of religion, spain ability, oligarchy, great general, unit perks, missionaries.

My top 5

5: Voi Chién. Crossbow men are a defensive unit more than offensive, a few of these super tanky crossbows with their massive defense bonuses means you make a few and you no longer need to worry about defense, just worry about the attacks. Or use the extra production to slingshot yourself ahead.

4: Viking Berserker: man at arms are FANTASTIC units. Rush this and navigation, then unleash the Great Heathen Army. The double movement and pillage bonuses with pillage cards makes it so that war is a GOOD thing for your progress and techs. Pillage the world and get ahead.

3: Hypaspist: comes in at the perfect time for a late ancient era/early classic war, the conquest bonuses with healing and the inspirations are great. AND they give science when built!

2: Immortal. So a swordsman with a ranged attack. These things are fantastic and come in just in time for an early war along with being able to tackle archers and other swordsmen effectively.

1: war cart. No bonus damage from spearmen, ancient era, extra movement speed, perfect for an early war to get the empire started right. They’ll do well until knights come in to the picture! They last, they hit hard, they are effective.

you should do a playthrough series of a civ game with an ultra hard difficulty mod I think it would make really cool content

1.Tagma is literally unstoppable with cruzade and a general nearby them, you dont need any other type unit
2. Janissary kinda OP
3. Immortal
4. Samurai, his ability makes him a great threat
5. Sea Dog, it can conquers and dominates the seas pretty easily.

I just watched TFS's complete Cell Games Challengers, and this thumbnail popped up making me think some mad lad put perfect Cell as a leader in Civ6.

With 10 cities you can get 20 tagmas since you leave your hippodromes 1 turn away from finishing. Perfectly balanced. And you even get more amenties to keep up with the war weariness from the unite you lost... oh wait

I feel like the berserkers should have been on there. 10 combat strength bonus is pretty op.

Tagma are #1 in my book. It's not just the unit itself, but everything from it producing itself instantly to ignoring walls to buffing each other to even being relevant as a 1-of late game to escort Great Generals so everything around gets +9, to buffing up Apostles - - it's just the best.
