A HONDE Valley family is embroiled in a bitter land wrangle after three step-sons allegedly inherited their late stepfather’s land at the expense of his real sons who are now wallowing in abject poverty without any farmland.

The land inheritance dispute, which has left the Chikazaza family in turmoil, was brought to Chief Mutasa’s community court last Saturday.

Tonderai Chikazaza dragged his stepbrothers, the Gadzani brothers, accusing them of depriving him and his siblings of their rightful inheritance.

Chikazaza claims that after his father’s death in 2020, the Gadzani brothers took control of the family land, leaving them to rent farming land from neighbours to eke a living
