I remember those days.
I used to love watching this event
When they used to fall, and HURTLE down the mountain, the friction and speed would cause the suit fabric to virtually MELT into their skin, and they would get up screaming in pain. Yikes!

I hope Speed Skiing will return in the XXVI Olympic Winter Games in the French Alps. Bring the Speed Skiing back to the Olympic Winter Games in the French Alps back on 5 years

If you bring this back with nicer suits and helmets, you could totally make it work - You could even change the competition format a bit, maybe have a qualifying round, then the top8 go to quarterfinals, semifinals, bronze medal match and gold medal match. If that's too much racing, then just go for qualifying+top8 final.

I don't care much for jumps or rails or anything, I just like long trails where I can just go as fast as I can.

the event "Downhill" is already nutso enough, we're lucky it hasn't been fully supplanted by Super G in modern times.
