Just got my third ThinkPad. I love Lenovo's whole approach towards this laptop, it nails the basics without much compromise. I am glad they managed to keep the ThinkPad brand alive even after so long since acquisition from IBM, they really did justice to it by not making it another Windows laptop in the market by copying a Mac design.

Linus don't encourage Lenovo X1 carbon series to have a bigger track pad. We use it for typing and non stop functionality. It's better and more ergonomic to have a middle sized track pad is better.

The fingerprint reader is in the RIGHT place. If it's on the ower button, you risk clicking it in and Windows will power down or hibernate, while trying to logon. That's just mental to me.

When you're trying to login, you already have your hands near the keyboard or touchpad. So the fingerprint near that, makes total sense.
