Best to hand rotate headstock to attach wood, because turning the heavy bowl blank instead can damage threads of headstock. 😮 Good demo...kudos! 😊

Hey if you need a tree for Kansas I recommend Hedgeapple trees, they're pretty much everywhere and I'm pretty sure the wood is a bright orange
