Well it could make sense, since every helldiver has the exact same gear/loadout and tactics, it could make sense that the helldivers experience is uploaded into a new clone after every death.

Honestly, this just gave me an idea what if you could call in 'minions' which are clones of you that will listen to your commands and you can ping them to follow you protect you hold down an area attack an specific enemy etc

The devs outright denied this theory at launch. Stating that every Helldiver has a family who cares about them back home. On top of the denial, if they were clones, it'd take away from a lot the narrative that we are throwing ourselves into the meat grinder for super earth. If you want to, you can think of you yourself being the ship, rather than the helldiver, with each new diver just assuming command temporarily. With the equipment matching because of ship uniforms and standards. The reasons people say they are clones, can be refuted and claimed with live people all the same.

Well, I won't lie. My destroyer is stocked with several clones of me, ready to go at most any time. They get a fresh map of my brain and memories, so it's a continuous stream of conciouness for me. Honestly pretty jarring sometimes to go from fighting on the front lines to falling out of my cryo pod in the same breath.

What if we do have clones, but every clone that is deployed shares the same memories, beliefs, personality and experience of the original Helldiver that enlisted. You know how the last one died, and you are deployed in their place with the knowledge of what killed them.

So, if that’s the case, then Helldivers really never die.

My head cannon was that every individual had clones of themselves ngl. Makes more sense to me then getting lucky and having multiple troops drop in with the same load out when you die lol
