I like how this entire video is her trying to put a positive spin on nothing but negative news.

I have been a huge Disney World fan for years and years. But not any more. The prices are mind-blowingly high. If prices do not come down, I don't think I will ever be able to afford to go again. It seems to me that Walt's dream of a fun affordable family vacation for the average American family has died on the vine. Too bad.

I'm so glad we managed to get one last great Disneyworld trip in early 2020 with character dining on the dining plan, fastpasses and extra magic hours before they shut down and changed everything.

I am a dad of a family of four. Many years ago, another dad of a family of four approached me with four physical FastPass tickets to Toy Story Mania. “Hi Dad”, he said, “We have to go back to the resort but I don’t want these four physical Fastpass tickets to go to waste. Would you take them from me so that your family of four can use them on this wonder ride?” “Why yes thank you sir”, I said, “you are a great dad and I and my family will gratefully accept these four physical FastPass tickets.” Alas, this moment of magic will never happen again.

All I’m hearing is that everything that was free- is not anymore, and anything that you had to pay for- is more expensive.

They have always been expensive. I am going to take a page of what my parents did. Stay off site from the Disney but at a hotel with shuttles. Bring food into the park (I don't really even remember eating the food there except maybe a snack). We will also go back to the hotel in the afternoon and nap and get food (meal) then come back to the park. Growing up my parents never paid for park passes or any VIP experience. They also gave us 1-2 souvenirs per kid. We also only went to 1 or 2 parks and then the other days went to universal studios or just walking around "shopping"/exploring in Orlando. I still loved it growing up and even though my kid is 9 months, I can't wait in a couple of years to do the same with my kid. My husband has never went to Disney World so I can't wait to see his reaction.

Great information - but as a single with a limited income, Disney has priced me OUT of the parks. It saddens me because I've been a Disney fan since the days of the old Mickey Mouse Club (the late 1950s) - and it doesn't look like I'll ever be able to go back "home" to the parks. ((Brokenhearted...))

I’m from Canada and after 30 plus visits to WDW, I’m definitely changing my central Florida theme park habits.

And, to be fair, I don’t think Disney gets enough scrutiny about their choices and prices. I get what happened last year but when is enough enough? And there are just too many apologists who have the means and capability to go MANY times a year.

The loss of all the great features, plus all the added costs... This just makes me sad. Even if a person can afford it (many can't), it takes so much of the magic out a Disney trip. It raises the cost and diminishes the value.

I’ll still take my family. Been a huge Disney fan my whole life. I’ve stayed on and off property. Never used Magical Express cause we like the freedom of having a car and not having to rely on Disney transportation (which can be slow). I’ve used and not used fastpass. I’ve stood in all the lines. I just love Disney. Yeah I see the changes. Yeah free things are disappearing. Change happens. I don’t agree with all of the changes. But I’ll still go and enjoy it alone or with my family. It’s what you make of it. We only go every couple years as it is cause there are other trips we like to take. I keep an eye on prices and know things are going to increase. We save and plan accordingly.

Sadly, i do not ever see myself going to Disney World again. They have taken away too many things, and are nickel and diming their guests to the max. I would rather take my money and go on trips that aren't so aggravating. Just spent three whole weeks touring some of the national parks of the west, renting cabins most of the time. Had the best vacation of my life - and it was probably cheaper than a week at Disney. I'll take Yellowstone and the Tetons any day.

I just went to magic kingdom last week with my 3 year old, our experience was anything but magical. Starting your day and ending your day with no trams is terrible!!! Then the lack of entertainment and characters was so sad, it was like being at six flags. They should have discounted all tickets and parking for lack of everything

Thank you for this rundown! They're really nickel and diming us, though, and it's painful :/

I've never made it to Disney World, but I have visited Disneyland over the years. The last time I was there was when Cars opened up. I had a great time, but too much has happened since then. Because of all the restrictions, price increases, and killer strollers, I will probably never set foot again at a Disney theme park. So sad. Your videos are awesome and point out many pros and cons about Disney parks. Thank you.

We are a military family who have loved Disney, going every 2-3 years since the kids were little. They are now adults and we still enjoy going together. I know we are lucky with military discounts, but my best advice echos another poster - start saving and plan your budget. There were some years that we could only stay for 3 days off property. Then other times were longer in park hotels. I highly recommended getting A.J.’s dining guide - it’s an awesome resource that helps with finding fun food and savings!
It really is worth it - we’ve always had a great time here.
