ABOUT THE VIDEO
_
In this video, I talk about 1984, George Orwell, totalitarianism, authoritarians, indoctrination, taking responsibility for your mind, and becoming unmediated.

In 1984, George Orwell wrote, “the two aims of the Party are to conquer the whole surface of the earth and to extinguish once and for all the possibility of independent thought.” In the novel, the authoritarian party is interested in having absolute power over the thoughts of others. Why do they wanna control your thoughts? And how do they do that? That’s what I’m interested in exploring, and as always, I’m gonna explore this idea through a dialogue.

Most people are convinced that "thoughts are free of consequences" and that is a pretty harmful mindset. The most hideous acts all started as small thoughts and it is _very_ important to take responsibility for them

No amount of guilt can change the past and no amount of worrying can change the future.

This couldn’t come at a better time with everything that’s going on in the world. Appreciate it.

Sometimes having different thoughts and views are seen as rude and immoral in certain culture and families. But never stop expressing it, maybe not in people who expect obidience and "Good cultured behavior" from you. Write it, post it on internet, reddit, etc. Engage with open minded people. It's always better than burying your thoughts and views instead of sharing. ✌️

There’s an Netflix series called “how to be a tyrant” and they mentioned that everyone is capable to be a dictator. So dont just take responsibility for your mind but also others as well or else YOU could be a tyrant.

I am a Cuban person living in the U.S. I left my county due to the social and political problems existing in that country. While watching this video I remember that in the past I was an indoctrinated person, now i have free thought and can tell you for a fact that this video perfectly explains indoctrination. I grew up saying and praising things that I did not fully understood just because of an authoritarian entity DO NOT FALL FOR Create your own opinion, thoughts and personality.

I hope that people can learn to think for themselves. Or else mass formation psychosis is a real threat to everyone. Great video.

To the *worthwhile person* seeing this, your dream is not dead. Don’t allow the past and current pains and hurts stop and define you. You’re more than a conqueror. Rise up and put yourself together. Keep pushing your future depends on it. I wish you all the best in life ❤️.

The problem with being unmediated nowadays is that it's impossible to test and prove everything by ourselves. We have to rely on other sources because of the sheer amount of data there is. One human cannot hold all the knowledge, it would take way more time than our lifespan offers at this point

"When you act on your own knowledge, that is an experience of truth."
I'll take those words to heart.

George Orwell also said, "All art is propaganda.". That being said, it's far better to avoid all media as much as you can. After all, once you've gained introspective antiestablishment knowledge from smart information such as literature like 1984, A Clockwork Orange, Brave New World, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest and etc, you really don't need to pry any further.

Great explanation, bravo. The fact that mind control is more powerful than violence in shaping our reality reminds me of a quote from a book I'm currently reading " The Things You Can See Only when you Slow Down". The quote highlights how our minds shape the reality we live in. This has no correlation to a totalitarian government in Orwell's 1984, I don't know if it is possible to draw such a connection. In the bottom line, being self-conscious of what happens around us and what we are really thinking about is what distinguishes us as individuals.

To think for ones self without defaulting to contrarianism for the sake of of it —that's the real trick. It takes time to discover what holds true, and plenty of fallacies to dodge. It's scary as hell to realize that much of society doesn't agree with the conclusions you've come to. Learning to think for yourself is worthwhile, but it's a lonely road.

Be wary and observant of friends/family who get mad when you don't take their advice or find your own solution. It's often them wanting to be the main source of influence in your life.

I've lived that. I was in a church where "the pastor" (a female in this case) completely overruled our wills to make us submit to her and agree unquestionably to all she said. And it completely ruined my life. It has taken me years to recover. It wrecks havoc in your life. It reduces you to a robot who has been trained not to think a thought that even has the slightest mark of disagreement, or else. You live under fear and intimidation constantly. You are her prisoner without realizing it. You have no right to think independently or dispose of your own free time to do what you would like to do. No complying means disloyalty or rebellion and you don't want to see yourself as such an uncaring person, so you just don't dare say anything. You are really a puppet in her hands.
When you are finally out from under her despotic system you have to rebuild your life, and then you realize at what point she has been running your life without you realizing it. It's not easy to regain your life and learn to be sovereign over your own life. You need to redefine who you are now, apart from that monopolizing destructive system, and it's a moment by moment process. But you can definitely get there and have a life that is a sustenance and support to others in their way out to their freedom.

7 years ago, I had a TBI. My OCD got bad. It controlled me. It still does sometimes. It's hard to know believe in some of these fears. They are so loud sometimes. My subconscious believes that it is making me safe by giving me fears and then I do my compulsively action to feel safe. It can make me feel controlled while also making me very interested in having control. I never have the control that I want, but my OCD can control me. Now, I have done classes in CBT, which is the best therapy for a person with OCD, and my is much more stable because of it. I am interested in starting a talk about this thought, knowing that it is only a thought.
