I show off my bluray pickups in the July 2022 Barnes and Noble sale.

Great pickups. You have more than enough to keep yourself occupied for most of the Summer. I've heard so much about Straw Dogs that I know I never want to see it.

Thanks for sharing what you picked up in this sale Roger. Glad you were able to participate. I have picked up two films so far: It Happened One Night & The Palm Beach Story. I am trying to fill out my Claudette Colbert film collection. Really enjoyed this video.

The Worst Person in the World was one of the best films released last year. A simple story, but well told, and highly engaging. I would be interested in what you think.

Nice pickups to add to your collection. I'm hoping to do a tavernier series at some point as I have the new studiocanal 8 film bluray boxset one of which is Coup de Torchon. Mr Klein is one of my favourite Losey films. A Losey series is on the way too eventually haha. I'm currently picking up some more of his films.

Thanks Roger for sharing those pickups. I'll be interested to learn more about "Tales of Hoffmann" and "Rouge", which I have not seen, and likewise with the Jan Troell films. "'Round Midnight" and "Mr. Klein" are both great, as is "The Worst Person in the World", which I caught in the theater last winter. Renate Reinsve was indeed quite captivating and Anders Danielsen Lie gives an equally excellent performance. While the film speaks to a younger generation than my own, I found myself quite moved by the story and reflecting on the choices that shaped my own life. I'll look forward to hearing what you think about the film. Cheers.
