Unity Shader Graph - Waterfall and Ripples Tutorial

In this Shader Graph tutorial we are going to see the steps I took to create this very stylized Waterfall with Ripples. It's one shader for the waterfall and another for the ripples. And we also need some meshes and a simple texture for the ripples.

If you dont know how to use blender I would recommend making your waterfall out of probuilder, its really easy to use. You can get the mesh by exporting your probuilder object to a .obj file

Gabriel: thank you so much for this amazing tutorials on how you do your effects. I'm actually taking your Udemy course, and I'm very amazed with the shaders and particle systems. By the way, I'm a programming/audio/photography teacher, and right now I'm teaching videogame development basics with Unity, so all this knowledge is to spread it to my students. Again: thank you so much for your sharing spirit.

13:27 I can only see transparency in mine. Though if I linked the alpha from the Sample Texture 2D node instead of from the Split node, the ripple will then appear. Can anyone please tell me what may be wrong.

Also I used Gimp Instead to create ripple texture. And I can't find if there is any Outer Glow in GIMP. So I Duplicated the Layer and use blur. And after importing the texture, in the Inspector I set the images Alpha Source to Input Texture Alpha.

Awesome job! Can this be recreated with lit materials? I notice a lot of these water fall tutorials are only being done with unlit shaders.

Not sure if this helps anyone but i had an issue with the texture masking portion where it is multipled before the color is added. I shifted the mask texture and multiple to the very end (after the color part is done), and only apply it at the alpha stage (after the split node), and it seems to work.
