Be kind always, but don't expect anything. Always try your best to keep your feelings in check until you know for sure the feeling could be mutual.

Not everyone is going to reciprocate your interests. That's life. Focus on you and someone will come along.

No one really owes anyone anything. Maybe respect, but you can't expect fantasy to become reality. If it hurts too much, keep some distance.

This happens to everyone. Again, focus on yourself and something will eventually come along. Usually the wait is worth the final product in the end. Remember, be kind.

That ending is EXCELLENT. She is absolutely right. This "nice guy" concept is somewhat flawed. Men need to learn that being a decent human being does not warrant ANYTHING from a girl or potential partner. It goes both ways. Thank you Wong Fu for this quality short!

uh, nobody's talking about the fact that the protagonist, in trying too hard to avoid the "nice guy" situation, has been sort of a jerk to the girl he likes, which also backfires?
I think that message is just as important as the entitlement issue or whether nice guys do finish last.
From my understanding, avoiding the "nice guy" situation really means stop giving the impression that your help and kindness comes cheap and is thus forgettable,
but if you take it the wrong way and start acting like a horrible person, that's where things also go wrong.
