The greenhouse effect is a natural process that allows the planet to maintain the necessary conditions to support life. Without this phenomenon, Earth would be uninhabitable, as the global average temperature would drop to 18C below zero. Watch this video to find out how we are influencing the greenhouse effect and what we can do to prevent further harm.

This is a very informative video. The visuals are very appealing. What are Green House Gases and how they help us and why an excess of this is bad, is explained very well. The names of the Green House Gases are also mentioned. I particularly liked the part where they show how the blanket of the Green House Gases become thicker and how more heat is trapped due to the thicker blanket, making the Earth warming.
This video is very short and comprehensive. It tells us what are Greenhouse gases, causes for the increase in Greenhouse gases, consequences of the increase in Greenhouse gases and measures to control the increase of Greenhouse gases. I recommended all students watch this video.

After much time and many distillations, I came up with a short explanation of the Greenhouse Effect:
“As shortwave visible sunlight strikes the surface of the Earth, that which is not reflected back into space is converted into long wave infrared radiation and radiated away as heat which inevitably interacts with large molecules trace gases such as carbon dioxide. This inhibits the escape of heat into space and results in proportionate atmospheric temperatures.”
Note: If you use this as a search query, you’ll have access to more in depth explanations than I could provide.

Why is there so little CO2 In the atmosphere when it used to be the majority gas? Has it always controlled the climate? Have the processes that reduced the amount of CO2 from above 50% down to 0.03% stopped working? If the atmosphere traps heat why on a sunny day is the surface cooler than the energy from the Sun can make it. A greenhouse shows you just how hot it would be if the atmosphere was not acting to cool rather than warm the surface of the Earth.

It's entirely-incorrect physics. I suppose it's for infants & early Primary School Kids, so OKish.
