What I love about the Joker movie is that it shows that neither Joker nor Batman created either other, but rather they were two conclusions to being victims of Gotham. Gotham created Joker and Batman, and I really like that. The whole "Batman creates his villians thing" doesn't really make sense because the first villian was the guy who killed his family. Pretty sure an 8 year old didn't create that guy. Rather, we see through Joker that Gotham has created societal unrest to the point where you have people like the Joker who will ignore the law and embrace anarchy, or you will have people like Batman who will ignore the law to embrace justice. That's what the movie shows and I think it's genius.

In the original continuity it was Bruce Wayne who created the Joker but in joker it was Arthur Fleck who created the Batman.

It's so crazy to me how in the span of 5 seconds you can see how Arthur disappears and Joker takes his place. Joaquin Phoenix did a phenomenal job that will never be replicated.

They handled the Wayne's murder brilliantly I think cause it stays true to the comic whilst adding a little twist. Joker indirectly caused their murder but it could easily be Joe chill under the mask

It's interesting because Arthur didn't set out for revenge on the Waynes, but his actions lead to it anyway. It's like saying he alone was too weak to possibly bring down a billionaire, but introduce a little anarchy, and anything becomes possible.

In a perfect universe, the death of Thomas Wayne in this scene created the Batman, which The Batman serves like a sequel to this, and then this is the very Batman that brought the Justice League together.
