How we engineered the world's smartest throttle controller and killed Pedal Commander.

The new patented PedalMonster is the smartest and safest throttle booster available. How do we know? We bought and tested the competition.

PedalMonster is the first-ever OBD-II data-connected intelligent throttle response controller for cars and trucks. When Gale and the Banks Engineering team discovered that all other throttle boosters were unsafe, they set out to make a better one.

City, Sport, and Track modes provide 10 unique levels each of increasing intensity for both manual and automatic transmissions, making modern drive-by-wire cars and trucks feel more responsive than ever! Dead pedal is a thing of the past.

PedalMonster’s internal circuitry is powered by the reliable +12 volt OBD-II connector. Competitive devices draw current directly from the low-overhead +5 volt throttle pedal circuit, often causing a check engine light and reduced engine power. And, after removal, no footprint is left behind, making it warranty-friendly.

PedalMonster seamlessly integrates with Banks tuners, monitors, and supports all popular cars and trucks, domestic and foreign, stock and tuned! Available as a stand-alone module, for use with existing iDash, with iDash SuperGauge, and iDash DataMonster.

When engineering isn’t limited by the corporate/government overlords, it’s a solid connect to the consumer.

I never ever ever thought I would ever install a Tornado on any of my trucks….let alone a Pedal Monster. My 21 F350 pedal was squishy as heck. Ridiculously so. I swallowed my truck enchancing pride and installed the Pedal Monster on my truck…..Absolutely glad I did!! Ps….I have a flatbed and I tow alot to. Still worth it!

Purchased and installed mine this week on a 2016 Ford F150 Platinum. Works exactly as advertised. I landed on a Sport Setting about 70% and it feels much improved over stock.

Love the pedal monster on my 2021 Silverado 2500 gas, amazing to get that instant pedal response! I usually use low sport, really helps get up and go with our camper hitched up, and adds fun when unloaded 😊. Tried track once, and lost traction pretty quick lol. Factory tires couldn't keep the 7k lb. truck hooked to the pavement.

This thing was a game changer on my Gladiator Ecodiesel. I haven’t even tried it in track mode yet as I’m afraid I might lose control. It will spin 37” tires in race mode at 50%. It’s amazing. The only thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t gather my truck Data like engine diagnostic through the Jeep app when pedal monster is plugged in.

I know it's wishful thinking - but man it'd be nice if you could put this together for the ds4 6.5's out there - given what Gale has done with the engine in the past, it would be great.

I purchased this for my 2019 ram 3500 megacab 6.4 hemi.
It does not get rid of dead peddle from a stop, that lag is there no matter what adjustments you make. Also from time to time the light indicator for 2wd, 4hi, 4lo won't be illuminated, so you'll wonder if it's in 4hi or 2hi.
It does greatly improve peddle response through the gears, it makes the truck seem snappier.
Also the peddle monster works on the peddle but the does it keep the transmission safe?

Just installed on my 2022 Chevy Colorado.
Install was simple (just like all throttle controllers) and the Pedal Monster does exactly what it Banks says it does; fix the dead pedal built into just about all modern 'drive by wire' systems.
My truck now feels like cars did in the 80's, when the gas pedal was mechanically connected to the carburetor. And now I can actually feel the 308HP that my engine is rated at.
That ends my review, but if anyone reading this owns a newer Chevy and uses the MyChevrolet app on their phone, you may want to keep reading...

And now I have something that my fellow Chevy owners may be interested in:
I have the MyChevrolet app on my iPhone. I like it because it gives me real time diagnostics, lets me locate my truck via GPS, and most importantly, remote start my truck from anywhere. (Very important in NY where it can be 6 degrees in Winter and 95 degrees with 96% humidity in Summer) Unfortunately, after installing the Pedal Monster, I noticed that every time I opened the app after turning my truck off, I would see numerous diagnostic alerts; everything from engine, transmission and antilock brakes, to emissions and StabiliTrak indicated that they 'needed attention'.
I wasn't getting a check engine light, just warnings from my app. And those 'Alerts' would clear themselves as soon as I opened the apps details screen anyway.
But despite that, I was still a little worried about the alerts since GM sends me a monthly diagnostic report based on the app, and I was worried that they would be able to track the mod and give me crap about my warranty. So I called Banks tech support, and the very helpful representative told me that because the Pedal Monster runs off of, and gets info from the OBD port, this was probably blocking the Chevy apps ability to get real time diagnostics and causing the alert. He assured me that this wouldn't be traceable and even if it was, I could just say I was using one of those dongles that insurance companies give out to monitor safe driving, but that if I was really worried about it I could simply disable the reverse gear safety function on the Pedal Monster, and that should clear up the conflict. Since the reverse safety was one of the main selling points for me, I wasn't about to disable it. And as long as nothing weird was happening with my truck, I really didn't consider it a big deal to just refresh my Chevy app every so often.
However I just discovered another 'fix': I'm running the stand alone Pedal Monster and I noticed that if I DON'T open the Banks app on my phone when I'm driving, then the Chevy app doesn't notice anything. This is totally fine with me because I'm not one of those guys who's constantly playing with my settings. Sport +1 is my sweet spot and I haven't found the need to change it since the 2nd day after the install. Of course if I really felt the need to use the Banks app while driving, I could just refresh the Chevy app after I shut my truck off.
So that's my story. If you're a Chevy guy and this helps, great. And to the guy's at Banks tech support, you may want to relay this info if you ever get another call about the Pedal Monster messing with the MyChevrolet app.

I had the 2011 Tacoma V6 - and had mastered how to wring the power from that engine (basically put the shifter in 4th gear, and punch the throttle if you need power. It would give it to you with what I thought was negligible delay, and there wasn't really a need for a throttle controller. Going to a 2020 4R Limited- Toyota definitely softened the accelerator curve (and I think there are two curves - one for part time 4WD trucks and one for full time 4WD trucks, since I drove both for an extended time and both had different feel to them). The 4R Limited has this really slow off the line acceleration - the only way to get it move is to already be rolling at 5 mph or so, in 4th gear, and punch the accelerator- and it may end up moving, but it's not very consistent.
Since the Power Monster seems to be safe and definitely is legit, I may have to give it a try!

should always be a linear thing like old throttle cable.
50% pedal = 50% butterfly movement simple & easy.
if they so worried about emissions why not fit the trucks with smaller turbo charged engines then.

It’s actually amazing!!!! My tires literally spin out on track lol. I do not use that one or sport cause it’s insane! I use city and it’s perfect! 2007 dodge charger HIMI. Thank you Gale!

have the Pedal Monster on a 2021 F350 6.7 Super Duty. Still have the dead pedal once in a while. Sucks because when I've needed to accelorate, I couldn't .

Would like to see one for my 2015 Lexus RX450h AWD Hybrid. There is a sports mode which does bring more power but still doesn’t take advantage of the hybrid system.

The ECO mode also doesn’t take advantage of the hybrid battery prematurely starting the generator taking power away from the engine.

I have the opposite issue, with Incredibly snatchy response at low rpm and straight off the bottom.

I installed my PedalMonster in my 2020 Silverado DuraMax 3.0 today. Wow!

Need this for a 2004 Chev 6.0 in a 2500. Getting real sick of it holding the rpm when I put the clutch in. Basically impossible to rev match and engine braking suffers a ton as well.

What about cars or trucks with the auto shut off at traffic lights or stop signs? Will it keep the car running?
