A long time ago a noble Irishman contacted me and asked if he could help with the animations on GN. Little did he know that one day he would be flown out and FEATURED in his own country's video. Thanks so much Peadar. Not just for your help but friendship as well.

13:56 It’s worth mentioning that we have a significant Brazilian community here in Ireland. Over 15, 000 Brazilians live here and are the second fastest growing immigrant group, according to the 2016 census. 🇧🇷🇮🇪

'the luck of the irish' is quite an ironic phrase as historically speaking, the irish have not been very lucky.

Some notes on the Irish language:
- It is called Gaeilge
- The Ó prefix in names is for males and for females changes to Ní
- There is no singular word for yes/no
- The communities who do speak it are known as Gaeltachts and students will go there to practice during the summer (big deal)
- All signs and government docs must be issued in English and Gaeilge
- And finally, it is NOT similar to English so stop saying the pronunciations are stupid or weird, it is LITERALLY a different language!! (Goes for names too like Niamh or Meadbh)

Originally, Irish surnames never had prefixes but then clans started splitting up and people started using names like “Mac Conchobhair” which means “Son of Conchobhair” and the grandson and all generations coming after that are called “Ó Conchobhair” which means “descendant of Conchobhair”. The prefix “Mac” was kept by some for some reason though. The Nic prefix is the female equivalent to Mac and Ní is the female equivalent to Ó, whenever a woman gets married, she will change the prefix to “Uí” and her surname to her husband's surname. The British came so everyone with an anglicized surname just uses the “Mc” or “O” prefix
