As a French, I always thought that andorra was a giant supermarket where you can buy cheap alcohol. ^^
Now, I know better. Thanks, Geography now !

Andorra is kinda adorable cause it's so small and beautiful and in its national anthem it calls itself a princess!!

I've been there a couple of times. And one of my best friends is an Andorra national, born and bred. She speaks perfect French, Spanish and Catalan and fairly good English too!

Well, the Crown of Aragon doesn't represent Catalonia, it represents Aragon, Catalonia, Valencia, the Roussillon, The Baleares, Sicily, Sardinia, Malta and Naples

Okay so I live 50km away from Andorra and 20km away from La Tour de Carol train station (I use the R3 Rodalies from RENFE).
-La Tour de Carol is a village on its own. The train that goes there comes from L'Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona) and is the R3 from Rodalies. It's 70km away from La Seu d'Urgell (Spanish entrance to Andorra).
-L'Hospitalet-près-l'Andorre is a different village with a different station. The train that stops there comes from somewhere in France (I have no idea from where, but I suppose it comes from Toulouse?). Both villages are 30 minutes apart by train.
-Andorra has had an airport since the 80s. It didn't, however, have commercial flights until this year so yes, until now the closest actual airports are Girona's (just realized you didn't put that one), Toulouse's and BCN's.
Random fact: You can drive from border to border (north to south) in 2 hours by car.
Another random fact that no one will care about: I personally know the co-prince of Andorra and have talked to him several times. It was actually him who did my Confirmation (Christian sacrament) xD

Proud to have a stamp in my passport from Andorra. One of the coolest places I have ever been.

Anybody that's from Barcelona has been to Andorra at least 5 times in their life. I have been arround 50 times in all my life. It's a great country to go skiing and then go downtown Andorra la Vella to shop or even go to Caldea and have a nice time at their Spa + Cool swimming pools. And when you go back home, you fill up the gas tank cheaper than in my country and buy alcohol and tobacco again, cheaper.

Not a micronation, a microstate ! A micronation is made by a group of mates in one's house for fun. I do own a micronation.

Haha, I just came from reading the wikipedia on Andorra and I guess I'm not the only one who finds them absolutely adorable. Having been forgotten in the Versailles treaty after WW1, they technically remained at war with Germany until the fifties when they officially declared peace. Having a military run on a defense budget where it's unusually high if it has 4.90 dollars for one year, a military of only 12 professional permanent personal. Having a system where the bigger problems are to be handled by "able-bodied men" which would happen in case of natural disasters, state of emergencies, crisis, or war. 85, 000 population, with 10.2 million annual tourists. This country is so cute!

Iceland is not a micronation.

300, 000 people on a massive island is not a micronation.

The Faroe Islands with their 48, 000 people and very small series of mountainous, treeless islands would be a micronation.

Andorra is a microstate, not a micronation.

Micronations include countries like Sealand which claim to be independent nations but are not officially recognized by world governments or major international organizations (but if they have had wars over independence like Somaliland or Kosovo, they don't count).

Also, microstates are based on area, and not population, so Iceland and Cyprus don't count.
