It depends upon why you're traveling. I think business travelers care more about privacy and quality of sleep. When I'm paying for business class for an overnight intercontinental flight to have a meeting on my day of arrival and am turning around 48-72 hours later, I'm not drinking at all on the flight, and I have to get sleep. I don't care what champagne they're serving or how many movies they show.

If it's a vacation trip, then I care more about the soft product.

To be able to lay flat is what everyone wants. Everything else, arm rest, meals etc are all secondary to me.

Living in Dubai and travelling for business a lot, I avoid Emirates on all 777 routes. Usually any carrier out of the destination you are traveling to has a lower priced and better business experience available. On A380 routes it is needless to say, that Emirates is the carrier of my choice.

Comfy seats definitely take priority if you are on a long haul flight. I assure you that you can find better food, beverages and entertainment when you have landed
