Prof. Subhash Kak is a Regents Professor of Computer Science at the Oklahoma State University.

He is also a honorary visiting professor at the Jawaharlal Nehru University and a member of the Prime Minister's Science, Technology and Innovation Advisory Council (PM-STIAC) in India.

In 2019, he was awarded the Padma Shri for his contributions to history of mathematics, science, ancient astronomy and philosophy of science.
