Michigan is located in the Great Lakes region of the United States. It is the only state to consist of two peninsulas. The state capital is Lansing, and the largest city is Detroit. The state is known for its many lakes, including Lake Superior, Lake Michigan, and Lake Huron. The state is also home to the Mackinac Bridge, which connects the two peninsulas.
