The only reason used Teslas depreciate rapidly sometimes is because the new ones keep getting cheaper which makes the depreciation irrelevant. If I buy a car for 50k and 5 years later the new price is 25k my trade in is worth a lot less but the new car costs a lot less. If Tesla can lower their prices by 50% over 5 years the rest of the market has to as well or go out of business.

I don't see cloth seats necessarily as a downgrade. While not as sophisticated as heated and ventilated seats, cloth seats don't burn skin nor feel wet and clammy in humid environments. And cloth seats don't scratch or suffer from claw marks. And while cloth seats may not be easily wiped clean with a bottle of cleanser, they don't show finger prints, spit, dandruff or dust like vinyl or leatherette. Not that long ago, in the 1970's and 80's velour seats were an extra cost option and were considered desirable in luxury cars. And from an eco standpoint, cloth seats can be made from recycled bottles and perhaps have a lesser impact on the environment.

Just after the war in Ukraine started the gas prices skyrocketed. You couldn’t find a used EV and the prices on all EVs went up astronomically. So just like anything, world politics will change how much anything is worth at any moment.

Here in Phoenix I'd rather have cloth seats rather than unventelated simulated leather seats.

It would be interesting if Tesla removed the sunroof on the base Model 3. That could definitely save a lot in production and bring down the weight!

I’d even suggest removing the ambient lighting feature entirely instead of just white for an even cheaper price

Wow, no heated steering wheel for the Mexican Model 3! Go figure

This is what I have been suggesting all along. There is no need to develop a separate $25k model. With simpler equipment and super efficient manufacturing, slightly lower profit margin? $25k is a real possibility. Why sell it in Mexico only? Lightly equipped model 3/Y is good worldwide.

This is not a disappointment in my opinion, in fact this lower trim Model 3 RWD is probably what they should of done a long time ago instead of trying to use incentives to drive sales

I don’t need fancy self driving function.
I need my signal and wiper stick back…

While I love ChargePoint, they aren't even close to Tesla. The main problem is their business model - which is to sell equipment to the property owner. Beyond the first year, service is optional and an extra cost to the property owner. So, after the first year, many ChargePoint stalls simply get abandoned. With rare exception, I see ChargePoint stalls as a nice, bonus find, not something to rely upon. But, not everyone gives them the same grace that I do.

I expected the cheaper Model 3 to have a metal roof instead of glass roof, which I cover because it’s hot. Metal roofs have some advantages over glass roofs which doesn’t feel like a downgrade. I wish they make a compact SUV version for the robotaxi. They could add a side LCD screen to show the expected passenger.

Cut the battery in half, remove seat electronics, remove trunk lift, remove aero hubcaps. Boom $25k car.
Edit: forgot, remove 2 doors.

I just sold my 22 MYLR and recurrent offered me only 24k.

AutoNation offered me 29, 250!

Would like to lease a Mexican M3 on the cheap... Textile seats and all. Cull the glass roof

In Northern Europe you can't sell a car in that cost bracket without heated seats and steering wheel.... it would be like selling the car in California without A/C.

Vague statement about Superchargers. How many New chargers were installed in last six months? Few facts and solid information in this video.👎

2021 m3 lr, been checking in on fsd since i made the purchase. Mostly in wooded back roads and general north west nj. These additional cameras and changes in angles make sense. Unprotected turns seem to leave the fsd software wanting more data from the hardware, imho many blind spots need to be addressed.

Cheers to the future and ty Ryan for the content!

Can you discuss FSD use in heavy rain or snow when visibility is limited?

i did not look at over "3, 000" teslas, however, for the last 4 years i was considering a used tesla and when you shop around on tesla's website as well as any other reseller, its not difficult to find a tesla with similar mileage, year and features at a price that is identical REGARDLESS of having FSD or not. here was my search; red, model y, long range, white interior, fsd, low mileage.
i could typically find this car at around $38k to $40k and specifically having fsd DOES NOT CHANGE THE PRICE you can find it at.
however, this is not the same as "what is the most i could pay" or "what is the most i could sell it for". i only mean "if you shop around, FSD does not change the price for the buyer"

Tesla should have all the right to keep their great charging within their brand. Opening the network is ok, but make those brands use their own apps.
