Woman billboard was 'transphobic' and 'dangerous'

A giant poster quoting a Google dictionary definition of the word 'woman' has been removed from a wall in Liverpool.

The poster read: “Woman, women, noun, adult human female.”

According to one activist, it qualified as "hate speech" and was deemed "dangerous" for transgender women.

Dr Adrian Harrop campaigned for the poster's removal and Kellie-Jay Keen-Minshull of the women's rights organisation 'Standing for Women' was behind the poster.

I'm so sick of being told that just stating the definition of women is transphobic! Who do these men think they are to appropriate womanhood. Kellie is pointing out men have no right to any of our spaces. I'm a woman a real woman and if that offends men who think they are women they can bugger off. Men already have everything. Now they want to take away the things we had to fight for and carve out for ourselves. It's outrageous.

Being a Woman is more than just a word. After growing up in a sexist world through the 80's and 90's I NEVER would have thought that rapists and women haters/abusers would demand that Women not be allowed to be called Women....
