This song is intoxicating. Like being day drunk and cruising around in the backseat of a car while looking out the window with the sun in your eyes. Real slo-mo like.

Chino for whatever reason has mastered the ability to capture the feeling of falling/being in love/being severed from it AND at the same time recognizing the futility in the pursuit of it. Hats off 🎩

I remember walking into the record store the day this album was released and hearing this tracking start up. I was already going there to buy the album anyway, but I stood and listened to the whole song there in the store. 🥰

Is it just me that gets extreme chills at 3:05 ? I love how it fades out and then that riff after Chino says “For a thousand days.” This part is breathtaking to me

Deftones made a genre.. Never became one .. That is love.. Btw Abe is THE drummer of a generation.. This band has always stayed whole. I LOVE DEFTONES FOREVERMORE

This song is about chi cheng, their former bassist who got into an accident and was in a coma, he was in the coma for 4 years then passed away. Chi cheng will always be remembered in deftones history.
