The lyrics to this song we’re written during the time Deftones almost broke up. Chino wrote the lyrics thinking they would be the last with the band. “There’s a hole in the earth….I’m out, ” we’re the last words he wrote for that album, and assumed would probably be the very last as the frontman to one of the best bands to ever exist. They were meant to be a farewell. Thank goodness cooler heads prevailed ❤
