How to import LUTs on the BMPCC 4K, BMPCC 6K and BMPCC 6K PRO

In this video I explain how to import LUTs on the BMPCC 4K, BMPCC 6K and BMPCC 6K PRO cameras. The Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema 4K and 6K camera's shoot in a flat, neutral profile and often require a preview LUT to help you preview what your footage will look like when color corrected. Use this technique to import any LUT file to your camera and apply it as a preview.

my 6K pro does not recognize any luts from SDD drive, no luts can be found on this drive. I tested x17 x33 specifically Resolve generated ones, . Nothing is found. I have no SD card at hand unfortunately.

Hey friend! Just curious what you meant by not recommending baking the LUT into the footage? Could it possibly be recommended if you’re shooting an event, let’s say, and want that look to deliver to the client immediately after the event is over? Or is there a technical reason I’m not seeing that you can educate me on?

I've had a client just send me 2 different LUTS they're thinking about using and it's what they want to see on set. When I load the lut into my pocket 6k it's way too strong and at least 2 stops lower versus the pocket's lut. Is there any way to lower the strength of the lut?

I bought some LUTs to add to my Bmpcc 6K G2, but the camera says there is an issue with the files even though it recognizes them and so cannot import them.
The other thing is that each LUT is only 1KB Iin size which seemed a red flag but seem to all be legit .cube files.
Any suggestions for how to fix this issue?
