Sigma BF Review: The most BEAUTIFUL camera?

Tony & Chelsea Northrup review the new Sigma BF, a form-over-function BEAUTIFUL full-frame mirrorless L-mount camera with 24 megapixels, 8 FPS and 6K/30 video!

The striking design and compact size are the main reasons to buy it - it's milled from a single block of aluminum. Sigma has rethought everything a camera is and included only the features you really need. The minimalism facilitates a focus on the fundamentals of photography, freeing the photographer from the burden of hundreds of camera settings.

Overall, it works great, with some weaknesses to be aware of. It probably won't be the ONLY camera for any serious photographer; serious photographers probably need a tilty screen and a hot shoe... but it can be the perfect SECOND camera!

The Sigma BF is everything I wouldn't go for in a camera, but having used it for a week... I actually enjoyed using it. Would I use it for epic landscape photography? No... but I would take it for a walk in Copenhagen, Stockholm or Tokyo...

I'm already an L-mount shooter and the Sigma BF would undoubtedly become the camera I use for fun. I think you're absolutely right about a camera that you love vs a camera for work.

Not for everyone but praise Sigma for doing it.

no matter how hard these youtubers trying to butter this up, this is a camera that will be considered as failure later

I'm just wondering when the awe and excitement of picking this beautifully designed camera up gets slowly replaced by the frustration of not being able to use it in the sun cause the back screen might not be bright enough and no EVF, or that you need to press the same buttons over and over to access all needed settings, or that there is no IBIS and dragged shutter techniques might not work because of the slow sensor readout and no physical shutter. I dig the way it looks and I'll probably rent it out of curiosity, but that's about it.

Oh she's having fun with that Porsche 😂❤ love it. The camera is stunning and it has good specs but I can't get beyond the fact that the screen doesn't tilt and it barely visible in direct sunlight

Great review. Form-over-function cameras have never interested me until this one. I enjoyed your car metaphors. If I lived close to new york I'd visit the Sigma pop up store just to see it.
