Matt spent a week hands-on with the Sigma BF, using this as his travel camera while in Japan. How good is the autofocus? What is the maximum amount of photos and videos it can store internally? Is it worth the hype?

Best review so far, informative, positive and opinionated. Convinced me to consider buying the camera. A joy and quirky!!

Looks like a real fun camera to shoot with. I love my Nikon Z30 with kit lenses that I purchased from you in December. Cheers!

Review people never talk about screw brightness or panel protection in these types of devices. Better than gorilla glass? Peak brightness?

"Aluminum. Yes that's how you say it. Aluminum." LOL 🤣😂

It’s a beautiful thing, I played with it at the photo and video show at the weekend. It would be a passion purchase because I don’t really need it.

I'm primarily a cellphone shooter but have and use a Sony RX100M7. I've wanted to upgrade to a full frame for a while but I'm not particularly skilled or knowledgeable, I just like taking photos and having very high quality images of my family and our adventures makes me feel good.

I am completely obsessed with the BF. Its design has cast a spell on me. As someone with more money than sense, what are the 1-2 Sigma lenses you'd recommend pairing with the BF to someone who is considering taking the next step into the hobby?

I watched the video expecting a lot of photos with this camera but I only saw seven photos.

Thank you for the quality promotion. Unique & future design.
We'll check the next BF. They may correct the mistake.

I’m definitely not knocking the cameras build quality, but why would someone pay close to $2000 for a camera just to take snaps. No EVF, no external memory card, and no tilt screen. If you are in very bright sunlight, that $2000 becomes a very expensive brick.

@0:23 I was nervous watching you hold the camera with 2 fingers. I get it from a minimalistic design perspective, but i think it has too many compromises.

I handled it in a touch and try and it's beguiling. Unfortunately it doesn't do anything which my Panasonic S9 already does (and the S9 does more), except look super gorgeous.

1:16 like Jony Ive would say (and probably design this camera).

£1999 for taking "everyday" photos with your mates? Come on. Why are we down playing this camera.

1:18 Might be how you say it, but it’s certainly not how you spell it ;) Haha, anyway, man what an absolute beauty. I’m not sure I would ever really find a use for a camera like this, but it ALMOST makes me want to just have it to admire it.

Also, I just don’t agree with Sigma’s interpretation of simplicity. Yes, there are fewer buttons, but it makes it more complicated to use the camera, not less. Aperture, shutter, and ISO need to be changeable without having to dig through settings. Clicking multiple times just to get to the option to change one of them isn’t simpler and would take me more out of the moment.

a small 35/1.8, then I'm onboard.

Too 'sharp', no viewfinder, no mechanical shutter, far too expensive.

Nope, not for me. Style over substance. I'd be carrying my phone anyway so would use that for snaps.
