I can always tell easily by the form of it. the right one has a proper and clean form. no weird edges really, sits smooth on & around your body. more expensive clothing is typically very “clean” in silhouette like that (some may say basic, with no pizazz). it also looks more reliable. but I do prefer messiness myself, and I prefer to stand out rather than fit in. so I like the cheaper one for sure, even if the quality is down.

Honestly though, Hollister isn‘t really an expensive brand and any dress under 100 sadly will never be made of high quality fabric. That said, the left one really looks much better

I guessed it right becouse I sew clothes and I learned to differentiate between cheap fabrics/sewing and better quality fabrics and sewing. :)

Left is much better on you and generally prettier, so cheaper wins for me.

On the right I think it’s the short and structure on the sleeves that gave it away but the left is such a pretty casual dress. You look amazing in both!

Yeah the second one is better quality. The fit is better and the stitch quality is probably better too overall
