Sir Christopher Lee was right when he told the cast and crew that what they made “was pure magic”. Their ability to take tolkiens work and respectfully bring it to us in film and music is something that cannot be repeated. It’s a once in a lifetime thing and I’m grateful to live in a time where these films and magic exsist. I’ve jokingly said before that Tolkien didn’t make a fantasy world he was given a glimpse into another universe/history and was allowed to let us see it through him😊 but in all seriousness it’s truly a place like no other, a place that feels like home even if we’ve never been there before.

As a child I loved LOTR because of the cool action but as an adult I truly get what Tolkien was trying to say with his story and enjoy the escape from everyday stress that he gave us in telling us these timeless stories

P.s. I think Howard shore may have actually captured the song of illuvatar 😂

I'm only about 23 minutes in, but I can already tell that this playlist mashup is very well put together. It's not simply a number of tracks that play one after the other from the various LotR soundtracks. Each segment of music flows well into the next, and all I'm hearing is just one cohesive, flowing track. Absolutely well done.
