A world where one small man can make a difference. A land just like ours, that is losing its magic to machinery and destruction. I am reminded to "Don't let go." Hold on to your Shire. Hold on to your love of one another. And, live your life filled with wonder and adventure. Don't let anyone put you down or kill your dreams simply because your happiness outshines theirs. "Be careful of your feet. You never know where they might take you."
To my brother, all it took was one night at a movie, and you changed me forever. You will always be my older and wiser Gandalf. I love you.

I think we all share an inner connection with each other, the earth and all of time. These films, this music and the Middle Earth setting have done the best job of capturing that implacable, complex mesh of feeling - hope, longing; togetherness; comradeship; finiteness; love; friendship; aloneness; death; home.

Look at this photo and imagine yourself sitting there in the garden and listening to this music. You would feel what makes us human. Love and hope, sadness and suffering, joy and happiness. Things that make us who we are.

I just think the Tolkien Universe (or his legendarium) is one of the most beautiful works the world has ever seen. I just feel such a sense of magical tranquillity and peace when I hear, read, or watch anything related to his universe. (Well, apart from that shite called rings of power, but that's another discussion). His works and the later works of others involved in bringing his universe to life through film, music, and art have created something that is eternally timeless. It resonates with people on a deeply spiritual level, and it's beautiful. Every time I watch the final Grey Havens scene in The Return of The King, I cry, and then when the end credits roll and Into The West plays....I become an emotional mess...and I know a lot of people do the same...because we don't want it to end.

I have visited the hobbit village 3 times now and it was awesome. First time was after the lord of the rings films and it had reverted back to farmland with just husks of hobbit holes and sheep milling around the land. Such a blessing to have the hobbit movies made and the shire back in all its glory permanently.
