Could you explain a little more about the legality of purchasing a used car as a tourist in Mexico? I understand that all you need are the papers, but if you were to travel internationally (drive across a border) would this be legal? Would the papers be everything you need? You wouldn't have to register the car as a foreigner any other way to avoid potential issues with the police etc? I would very much appreciate your response as I am looking to buy a car here.
