This man risked his life to save these people. He's a legend

I have a 102 year old friend who was from the Netherlands. She has some interesting, sad, and scary stories about the nazis. She showed me her wedding photo and then after a little while, told me her photographer was a jew and he was captured and killed by the nazis.

She worked an office job and had gustapo standing by the doors watching the ladies work. The picture she showed me of her and friend in the office with the gustapo in the background were eery.

Her brother in law was captured by the Nazis because he was helping hide Jews. When the war ended, and body collectors were collecting the deceased, one of the men carrying him said he thought he saw him move. The others dismissed it, but soon after, he declared again that the man was alive! He actually did survive, but he was hanging on by a thread. He later opened up a copper mine, in Australia and she showed me a couple pieces that he gifted to her.

Sophie Scholl was 23 when she was beheaded by the Nazis. Her last words
“It’s such a fine sunny day and I have to go”

He wasn't the only one, he's just one that made it through to the end and survived.

A conscience was a very dangerous thing during those times. There most have been many others like him back then, but very very few were brave enough to risk life and limb to do what was right

I had a friend who's parents escaped Nazi Germany. The dad was an artist and friends shipped a large crate of his work and equipment to England. His mother gave birth silently in a closet while being hunted by brown shirts. Friends smuggled them to England and they lived in the shipping crate already there. It's good to have friends who are good people. My friend was an artist too

This man nearly got prison for trying to be a good man after he was stuck in the army. It’s a good thing he earned the respect of the prisoners

That story not only made smile but cry because this man did everything he could to help people in the worst situation and in return those people helped him

I wouldn't call him a nazi. He's a German who got caught up on the wrong side of war.

Smile? No. Tears, yes. The suffering of those people hurts.

This proves that even if your surrounded by monsters you don't have to be one! R.I.P. to all of the people who died in these horrible wars that rich men make poor men fight!!!

What really gets me is that there are those in the US and Germany who want to start this sh*t up again.

Omfg imagine being surrounded by so much evil that it makes a person sick to their stomach and having to act like you’re ok with it. I’m so glad he did what he wanted. Herd mentality can be dangerous and terrifying
