Your editing team knew what they where doing with the cutting away at her fingers for Wolf Creek! I’ll never forget seeing that scene as a kid.

Frailty stuck with me for a very long time. The acting and cast was top notch! One of the reasons why this movie is in my personal collection.

One of the brilliant unsettling parts of The Silence Of The Lambs was whenever Clarise was the only woman in a room full of men who towered over her. As a small woman I can relate to that uneasy feeling

Rosemary's Baby is one of the few horror films that has actually scared me. When I showed it to a friend, he said he felt dirty after watching it. It felt like an appropriate description.

Frailty is so criminally unknown it's a shame ... an absolut gem of a movie

Session 9 was a surprisingly good film. The scene of him running down the hallway while the lights start going out was such a stressful moment.

Wow Ash really put in her blood and sweat into this channel. 2 years after she left and they still have old content from her they can use.

I love seeing all the praise Frailty is getting in this commentary. I’ve always considered it an underrated classic of modern horror.

Frailty was absolutely chilling. I remember a specific scene where something happens that caught my entire theater off-guard. There was a collective gasp and nervous chuckling after. R.I.P. Bill Paxton.

I love lists like this because I've seen so many of the films already, but I also get to find out the titles I haven't seen and I look forward to watching them.

Frailty is an excellent movie. And the twist ending is perfect. Since it's not as well known as some other horror/thriller movies, if you haven't seen it, do yourself a favor and watch it.

It's so sad when you realise how much better Ash's videos were then the current content :(

Frailty, baby! One of my favorite flicks, full stop. Been watching horror since the early 80s and Frailty ranks among the best, imo. Brilliant movie! Also, eyes of my Mother still has it's grime on me. I can't wash it off. Highly recommended for those with a strong constitution.

I'm really glad that Frailty seems to be getting some much deserved love recently.

Black Christmas is an excellent example of a great, creepy horror film with no jumpscares. It all comes from the dread that we KNOW that there's someone in the house, but that our hapless victims don't.

Sorry, but I need to stop you at The Blair Witch Project. While it is MOSTLY a fantastic example of how to do a movie without jump scares, it is not without jump scares.

The first occurs when they think their tent is being attacked; they all freak out and run. And while the scene is far more memorable for setting up, and not delivering, an even bigger jump scare when they turn off their lights and wait, I still remember it freaking out quite a few people when they heard the panicked reaction to something they didn't get to see.

The second, much bigger one is when Mike's camera suddenly drops to the floor. EVERYONE in the theater jumped at that.

I just watched SOTL the other day and that final chase through the basement never fails to give me chills every time I see it. I can’t believe how effective that particular set is.

A Jump scare that is done properly and used sparingly can be great, I instantly think of the hospital scene in Exorcist 3 and Jezebel’s eyes in Jacob’s Ladder as some of the best jump scares ever. However when jump scares become a bad thing is when a movie relies heavily on them to make the audience jump. Imo I think it would be far more scary to show distressing scenes that stay with you, than just a jump scare every 15 minutes.

One that does but used them well (despite being cliched) was Antlers, that's a good one.

I would put The Others (Nicole Kidman, Christopher Eccleston) on this list. Great ghost story!
