JUST SPEAK! - Raw Animal Activism

This was when my words failed me. When my speech fell apart before my eyes. This is me—raw and unscripted. Effective activism does not require elegance. Compassion does not require a college degree. The animals need every voice. So if you ever falter—if you’re uncertain what to say. Just look in their eyes and speak. Speak as if it were your last day.

Emily, this was possibly more powerful and impactful than your planned speech. I have been thinking the same thing recently- it doesn't take all this extra science, nutrition, study of the behavior of animals to know it's wrong. It is so good to hear this coming from others. I also really needed to hear this- I'm at a point where I'm trying to create a youtube channel and do some regular activism in my town as well, but I keep stalling because I'm not 'ready' and it's not 'perfect' but I need to STOP and just DO it, just speak. Thank you so much, you are such an inspiration to me and I wish I could have been there with you all.

Impromptu speech that allows your heart being expressed draws deeper attention from the listeners. But by now you are a very well prepared communicator and also you had delved into the subject in all its deph enough to know what you are talking in front of an audience in a impromptu speech. Yes. One of my students is studying to be a veterinarian. He said it's because he likes animals. I said that's why I became a vegan. He said he likes the taste of meat too much. I said you don't actually...you like the way it's cooked and seasoned which you can have as a vegan. We're going for a vegan Italian lunch later tomorrow. We can all make a difference just by speaking up.
