I just noticed that when Taki and Mitsuha first met at magic hour on the mountain, that Mitsuha was all over the place with her emotions. I think that whoever wrote that scene wanted Taki to see how Mitsuha was in with all of her various emotions, happy, incredulous, mad, sad, playful and forgiving. He got to see that in such a short time and he loved her for all of that being Mitsuha.
