This movie is perfect example of "Even if ur mind forgets ur heart will always remember". One of best Romance anime movies.

I watched it for the first time yesterday, and yes, tears were shed. It’s a masterpiece, one of the most beautiful stories ever

What had stricken me with this scene that really brought a lot of tears is how they finally met each other after 8 years (even if they had met between those years via metaphysical realm, the time it took for them to actually meet in person in their actual present selves took them 8 years), 8 years that they were longing for something they don't know what or why, 8 years of feeling something that is missing. And when they saw each other, everything suddenly made sense now who they were looking for after all those years.

Terrific ending. When they walk past each other on the steps I was about ready in the cinema to yell out 'one of you say something damn it!'

While i was at home watching, this last scene actually made me standup and say "run, you better find her"😂

This is one of the most EFFECTIVE FILMS of all time... I can still remember the crazy feeling inside the cinema. Some people were standing up, some were screaming, some were cursing, and a lot were in tears. This is truly a masterpiece in its generation.

The fact when they do meet they are full of doubts, and when they passed each other, they slowed down and were grief stricken thinking that "No, it can't be them."

Then the guy turned around and then asked if he knew her from before, breaking the ice. Then the tears start to fall and I swear there are ninjas cutting some damn onions...

As if them finally meeting each other wasn't beautiful enough, I realized it's because of their body swapping that both of them got closer to their dreams.
Taki was able to tap into his passion for architecture to the point that he can perfectly draw the landscape of a town that had long been lost and distill that passion towards making other towns just as beautiful.
But what really gets me is that MISTUHA LIVES IN TOKYO!!! She really did it! She made the move by herself to live in the place she wants to be in! All thanks to Taki saving her from the comet!

I just keep romanticizing the idea how they will tell people it's love at first sight bc they can't explain that instant connection that they ditch job interview and work to run to each other when they just saw each other on the opposite train for the first time.

I love this anime so much.

it's been so many years now but I only recently learnt that "kimi" is a form of "you" that you would only use with people you know very well or are very dear to you. Just adds another layer of emotion to this ending that sadly gets lost when translated
