Now we know why it took him 10 years...she kept giving him reasons to not be sure she was wifey material. Now with her answer and reasoning for it she proved his hesitation wasn't for not.

Thank her, kick her to the curb and if you really want to get under her skin, go out meet a younger prettier version of her and propose within 6 months (not to get married) just to piss her off....yes, I'm pretty! 😅

This is a communication problem on both sides. You don't take 10 years to propose! That being said, she should have said something after Year 2, 3, 4, etc. Either way, 10 years is way too long. Also, being with him for 10 years, she must have enjoyed the benefits of that relationship, marriage or no.

My only slight is why even bother proposing after a decade? I'm pretty sure things were going just fine before. No point regardless since it only benefits the woman. Just a box to check, and sometimes a paycheck, for the woman

Why do people care so much about marriage, though? Unless you're religious, you can have an amazing life with your boy/girlfriend without getting married
