momondo - The DNA Journey feat. the global winner

Congratulations to Manuel, the global DNA Journey competition winner! His touching story, view of the world and love of travelling really made Manuel stand out. His expectations for his results, and his emotional discovery of his diverse DNA roots were wonderful to watch. Thank you, Manuel!

The DNA Journey competition was part of The DNA Journey: a celebration of diversity, and a journey into who we are and how we are all connected as a global family. Travel opens our minds: when we experience something different, we begin to see things differently – this is why we initiated The DNA Journey competition.

Worldwide, a total of 170,378 people joined in and shared how they would open the world through travelling. 500 of these people won a DNA kit and went on to discover their heritage as revealed through their spit sample. By filming themselves reading their DNA results, they entered momondo’s competition to win their own DNA Journey.

17 people won a trip to one country found in their DNA, and one lucky winner, Manuel, won his own DNA Journey: a trip to visit every country found in his DNA.
