The bit about how you could mail money to those people directly skiping the crowfunding site is funny because it reminded to a viral thing in instagram last week, were people (mostly girls) shared their bank account number on their stories with the caption "if somebody sends you money it means you're pretty". Influencers could theoretically cut the middleman for their proyects if they wanted

"The winner gets to stay alive... for a while". This concept has always baffled me when it came to crowd funding. If you draw enough attention, then maybe you'll raise enough money for life saving surgery? That's all the way fucked up. That anyone would even need to crowdfund a medical necessity in the first place is sick. It doesn't need to be this way. It shouldn't be this way.
