How can India become a Global Superpower? Prof. Victor Saha

With a staggering GDP exceeding $3 trillion, India ranks as the world's largest democracy and the fifth-largest economy, trailing only behind Germany, Japan, China, and the United States.

Very soon, India is going to surpass Japan and Germany and become the third largest economy in the world.

But what does it take for a nation to emerge as a true global powerhouse? It's a question that doesn’t have an easy answer.

India's influence extends far beyond its geographical borders. It extends to US, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Yet, the growing significance of India in these regions could lead to interesting dilemmas, especially concerning its ties with the West, such as the United States and Europe.

Amidst all of these, one question looms large: How will India reach its zenith? How will India become a superpower? What are the challenges that beckon its way? These are the questions we shall be exploring in this video.

According to the IMF’s World Economic Outlook (WEO) report in October, global economic output is forecast to expand by 3% this year, to which China is expected to contribute 0.9 percentage point, Barnett said.
He made the remarks at a launch of the publication in Beijing last Friday. The event was organised by the IMF Resident Representative Office in China and the International Monetary Institute at the Renmin University of China.
By comparison, the United States is forecast to contribute 0.3 percentage point while India’s contribution might be 0.5 percentage point, Barnett told China Daily on the sidelines of the event.
In 2024, China is forecast to contribute 0.8 percentage point of the 2.9% global growth, just under one-third and still higher than 0.2 percentage point of the United States and 0.5 percentage point of India, he said.

You want economic development then you concentrate in economic development. Stop looking for enemy, create friendship instead. India want to prosper then start talking to its major neighbor pakistan and china. No serious investors invest in a potential conflict zone.

Stop daydreaming. Enough already. Clean up the corruption first. Then the streets. The toilets. The water. The air.

The impression of a dirty, smelly and overcrowded country with lazy, indisciplined public; this will take another century to change. As an Indian that’s something we are ashamed of and sometimes wonder do people really deserve the development.

Do not forget that Indians already insist that their country is a superpower, and in many ways they are better than China and catching up to the US soon😅.

f I were an Indian I would feel ashamed to compare India with China. The gap in every sector of the two countries where China is very far ahead is just too wide to mention and more so to even want to compare. Please do not ever bring up this subject of comparison again. If you do, it shows you have been living in the jungle for the past 30 years. ndia cannot even build enough toilet as a human basic right for his people as the link provide here {what a shame} #opendefecation Latest report from IMF on China contribution to the world economy.According to the IMF’s World Economic Outlook (WEO) report in October, global economic output is forecast to expand by 3% this year, to which China is expected to contribute 0.9 percentage point, Barnett said.

The WEO, published lastTuesday, has lowered the 2023 economic growth forecast for China to 5% from 5.2%, citing the pressures brought by the weakness in the real estate sector
