First Look at Criterion's Extreme Racer - E3 2014

Holy. Crap.

I'm _so_ glad EA finally loosened their grip on Criterion so they aren't being forced to shovel out more annual NFS games. Their concepts for this look like heaven for extreme sports games. I haven't seen ideas this expansive for this genre even attempted before, the closest we've gotten are the MX vs ATV games.

I know they call pull this off too, they already made burnout about as extreme as it can go after they took it out of Akklaim's hands. I may miss Burnout, but I'm glad they left it on a good note instead of what happened to NFS.

But wow, I am _STOKED_.

I wouldn't have imagined Ubisoft would be making a game with the same concept. EA lost their chance to dominate that market 6 years ago, instead focusing on more Star Wars games... maybe it's better that way. Hope Ubisoft does an acceptable job on Riders Republic like they did with Steep.

I feel like this game doesn't exist anymore and was ripped in two. Resulting in Steep and The Crew and now The Crew 2.

How do you guys know if this game is bad or not? We've barely seen *anything* of the game... And the little we see of gameplay is prototype gameplay; Early Pre-Alpha...

I believe that is going to be one of the best racing games in the last 10 years. 

in my opinion Burnout paradise was Awsomely awsomely good. 

make that game again with more vehicles in the air, water and land and you got yourslef an epic racing game.
