I tamed a WILD SQUIRREL - Here's how...

I'm finding every animal in the UK! I already found squirrels a long time ago.. but I wanted to share with you the story of the time I tamed a wild squirrel that would come into my garden.

We started off as strangers, but we formed a bond strong enough to challenge any preconceived limitations of the relationships capable between man and beast.

I truly hope you enjoy this video and if you do I would massively appreciate it if you would consider liking, commenting or sharing it, or all 3 if you're feeling really generous... as this would help it get pushed to a bigger audience and therefore help out my channel out greatly. THE POWER IS IN YOUR HANDS!

I'll be back to tracking down new species next week, so check back then if you want to see that.

Thanks you lovely people.

I have 3 squirrels that come and get food from my hand! Chet, Sweety, and Mamby! Sometimes they chase each other away so they can be the first to come get a peanut! They are such precious animals!

My girlfriend trained a black squirrel and she came everyday for 4 years. She would come even while she was pregnant. Many litters later she's aging, eyes are getting cloudy ( most likely cataracts ) until one day she hadn't come back. We sure miss our "Momma" squirrel.

To understand is to become friends. Assumptions and ignorance are among our greatest deterrents. Great video experience!

That is absolutely wonderful. I get a couple of squirrel every day coming to my patio window, to collect their dose of sunflower seeds.. I am now going to introduce peanuts. i wasn't sure if they were OK to eat those, but obviously you have proved them to be OK. Thank for the fun you gave us watching your progress. So sad at the end. The same thing happened with my foxes, suddenly, they didn't turn up any more for their chicken wings.

I've probably only commented on 3 videos in the years of watching YouTube and i just had to thank you for the entertainment. This was like a mini documentary with all the elements included. Comedy u & chunky, mystery - will it work? Thriller -fully trained! Drama ur background music, horror ur girlfriend scaring chunky, adult content chunky hitting the pole😂😂😂 and tear jerker chunky not returning. Please keep usupdated, amazing video 👏

I am in awe! You truly are the Squirrel Whisperer!
In all seriousness though. That was impressive (and really cute at the same time!). 👌🏻

This made me laugh, then cry…..so sorry he didn’t come back, one of the downsides of wild animals, but I adore every animal, good for you….. lovely video xx❤xx

I’ve got to admit they r lots of fun! I’ve raised 3 different squirrels, finding them after storms. Luckily they all did well being returned to the wild. They were really a blast and their connection to whoever bottle feeds them is unbelievable. They can do some damage to wood curtain rods and blinds tho 😝. Our family has some of the best memories playing and cuddling with them. But if they don’t like a person, they have a fierce bite that can go deep 😬😬.

The end of this video made me sad. I have been having wonderful interactions with squirrels lately at my house and looked this video up to learn more about earning their trust.😊

When I was a kid, we put little squirrels inside our shirts and let them run around inside and tickle us.

I grew up on a cattle ranch and one of the hands raised them.

Idk why so many people are saying ‘something bad definitely happened to him’ tbh cos I have a few wild grey squirrels that I’ve been hanging out with a lot for years now, though I go into the woods to see them instead of bringing them home (because I have crows that visit my bedroom and they don’t all play nice lol) once I’m in the woods I can call them out to me and they’ll come play or sit on my lap or my shoulder while I read and they’ll have fun searching me for hidden walnuts in my hood or pockets etc

but the ones I consider ‘my’ squirrels are all females because they tend to stay in their territory whereas the male squirrels are more like passing guests. New ones visit for a few weeks or months (depending on things like weather, food available, potential mates) during their mating seasons twice a year, quickly learn from the other squirrels that I’m safe and a source of snacks, and then one day they just leave again. It helps to keep genetic diversity within the population and gives them more opportunity for mating and finding resources, so chances are your squirrel is doing just fine and has simply moved on to the next area after spending a few happy months feeling well taken care of! He maybe even stayed for extra time specifically to stick around you for a while longer because you were being so good to him

That's the same silly look I have interacting with my backyard squirrels and blue jays. I have one brave squirrel that comes to the kitchen window when she hears me making dinner or washing dishes. She touched my finger with her little hand the other night.😊
