We feed the squirrels where we live in the UK. Family of 3 visit regularly. We have spent hundreds of pounds buying monkey nuts for them which they bury in the lawn making a mess but we don't mind. They have only taken nuts directly from my hand 3 times and are always wary. You are very lucky to have such a bond, it is lovely to see

You guys are so sweet with him. He knows he can trust you. I so appreciate you posting your adventures with Frederick. I’ve loved squirrels since I was literally an infant. My Mom would take me for walks in the carriage and then the stroller when I was able to sit up. ‘Squirrel’ was one of the very first words I learned to say! I still talk to them and feed them. 😊

Squirrels are such silly lil characters! I had the joy of helping a rehabilitator with an orphaned newborn squirrel and quickly fell in love with him. I loved when he'd climb up me from my leg up to my shoulder, then nuzzle his head into my hair/ neck. I miss him but am glad he's living a happy squirrel life.
