Hi, I’m Patrick. I’m a freelance science writer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training and a master’s in clinical exercise physiology. I used to work in the clinical setting as a certified athletic trainer, physical therapy aide, and a certified strength and conditioning specialist. After working in the clinical setting, I went back to school and became a teacher. The goal of my content is to help normal people, not just pre-med students, learn about the human body. That might mean explaining a topic from an anatomy class or exploring a topic from medical history.

No man can ever make me cry as much as anatomy can.

This is exactly how I memorized muscles. The names always tell you some thing about the muscles. They are named by one of the following:
* attachments (Sternocleidomastoid)
* action (flexor/extensor)
* size (major/minor)
* shape (Deltoid/Trapezius)
* location (brachii/femoris)
*number of heads (Biceps/Triceps)
* direction of fibers (oblique/rectus/transversus)

My four-hour lecture and I walked away with nothing. 4 of your videos on muscles and know more than I've been studying all week. THANK YOU

This is the first of any A&P video series that actually delivers on the "how to remember" any lists for the class. I've been studying for my Tuesday final for weeks now, and this is the first time it is clicking. THANK YOU

I found this video super helpful, thank you very much. I already knew a bunch of the muscles, but actually understanding why they're named what they're named now certainly makes more sense. Can't wait to watch your lower limb video. This is going to be great!

I love your videos, these are the only videos that help me quickly review everything with diagrams. If you could make similar videos for neurovasculature. That would her really good. Simple and Easy. Once again thank you so much, You have saved me from failing in med school.
