So glad you recorded a second video for this amazing performance by Dan. He connects emotionally with many songs, but I believe this was one was very special to him because his late father loved opera and they used to listen to it together. If you can stand the tears, another special song he performs is his cover of Elvis' American Trilogy. That was his Dad's favorite Elvis song and Dan performed it 5 days after his Dad's funeral. He bravely sang it beautifully, with the pain of his Father's loss so fresh. On a lighter note, his cover of the Disney Mulan song, I'll Make a Man Out of You, is a lot of fun and full of surprises that I know you will enjoy. Keep them coming. I look forward to them.

This song means a lot to Dan, hence the emotion. His Dad loved opera and when the 2 of them were driving around, they would listen to it. His Father was Italian and passed in 2017. He never got to see Dan excel in his music. Go to Dan's website and click on his bio. A lot of info on him. Love your reactions to Dan. He has worked so hard to get where he is now. As of this date(4/16/2024) he is at 989+K subs. His dream is to get to 1 million.

And always check to see if Dan has an outro on his video, because you can learn something about him there sometimes. You will have to search his channel for it, but he did a couple of videos back in 2017 - "How To Be A YouTube Singer" and "The Perfect Take & How To Mix Vocals."

Thanks for going to the work of reloading the video! This is a really fine performance from someone who’s not a professional opera singer. His gorgeous voice, classical training, and deep emotional connection are so special. Another look at Classical Dan is in his “one-man choir” version of Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus, where he sings all four parts - bass, tenor, alto, and soprano (!). It’s an incredible singing, recording, and editing accomplishment. I think you would enjoy it.

Thanks for re-doing this! Dan has a video of the 5 heroes he took things from each to work on. He has worked really hard on his voice! You should do the other Witcher songs. Priscilla’s Song has an acoustic and metal version so you can see how he works his magic. Also Son of Pain and his Nightwish covers are Epic!❤

🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏Beautiful! Dan sang this in his garage with an older mic. Dan has extensive vocal training and has been a vocal coach himself. He said he always warms up his voice the day before he records and then doesn’t say a word for twenty four hours after. Dad has a video where he talks about how he records his videos that’s really interesting and shows just how much work goes into each song.

In my 70's so have heard this so many time it is impossible to count... In this performance Dan is way up there with the greatest Tenors of all time. This is a beautiful aria, so emotive and Dan expresses that. Pavarotti sang it knowing he was the greatest of that time, no real emotion behind
