Puccini's 'Nessun Dorma', according to Google means "None Shall Sleep" - basic synopsis is of a man who falls in love at first sight with a beautiful but cold princess. Any man who wishes to marry her has to answer three riddles and if he fails, will be beheaded. It is a very emotional opera full of passion. Dan does this aria justice and sings it perfectly. I am sure he was almost in tears at the end. “Son of Pain” is another song that he ends up crying. I don’t think that I have ever seen anyone who is more passionate about his music. I actually prefer Dan's version over the famous Pavarotti version. Pavarotti is flawless, but some songs I'd rather hear the emotion than it be musically perfect. I would to hear him sing Vesti la Giubba one of these days. I'm holding out with my fingers and toes crossed!

Dan says he loves to sing Italian opera because his dad, who died of cancer in 2017, was Italian. He also sings Angels We Have Heard on High in 4 languages: Italian, German, Portuguese and American. It’s beautiful! What I love about Dan is that he takes his music and his voice very seriously but he doesn’t take himself seriously. He has a funny, goofy side.
