My friend, I consider myself somewhat of a Gethsemane snob…I’ve heard them all. I always preferred Neeley’s version…but then…I heard you. My god man! You absolutely OWN this song! One of the most difficult songs in stage history, and keep in mind, EVERYONE compares the vocalist to a dozen other versions and you blow past them. The body of your voice, the nuances, your range…and not just because you have a remarkable way of delivering the song, others can hit high notes as well, almost for the sake of hitting the notes…you blew it away because you let us see that you NEED to sing it the way you do so that it touches our hearts and souls. Your vocal range staggers the mind. You are simply incredible…take that from a JCS snob…unbelievable brother!

I have never experienced HEARING AND SEEING a singer such as DAN VASC. ITS SHOCKING TO THE EMOTIONS OF BEING REAL. I EXPERIENCED DISCOVERING AND HEARING HIM FIRST ON U TUBE, " A metal singer singing AMAZING GRACE. Dan doesn't just perform the song. He transforms into Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. He exudes the pain and emotion, the isolation Jesus must have been feeling in that moment. Such an incredibly powerful and emotional performance!

In one song you depict the complexity of what happened at Gethsemane.

A man, faithful and aware, but also God. The sometimes dreadful consequences of obedience. Confusion and conviction. Not a manger scene with a plump baby. Crucifixion, physical and mental.

All the dashboard crucifixes and glow in the dark crosses have made mockery of it, but it was a bleak and bloody business.

I’m about to cry…don’t know why…exactly…i love Jesus, and I love this song…This isn’t representative of Jesus so much as it captures the agony, tragedy of all he went through even before the ordeal (such a tame word) of the crucifixion. The effect of your singing, Dan, is, in a way mystical. mesmerizing. powerful in a way that reaches and grabs the very soul of those who hear you. I want very much to see and hear you do the entire Superstar musical. That would be an event that would shake the musical stage to its foundations! I’m casting a virtual dozen red roses onto the stage where you stand. Excellent!

I just held my breath for 5:43 seconds. Has Andrew Lloyd Webber heard this??? I feel like this was meant to be performed by a metal/opera singer, no one ever has done this song justice like that !!!
