Hey folks, and welcome to 2022! Thank you for those who suggested this case, it was a very sad one to cover. What are your thoughts on this case?

Apologies for all the word censorship too, YouTube wasn’t having any of it. There’s a slightly more detailed version of this case on my patreon. Also I should be back to cases every Monday from now on, depending on the process.. fingers crossed!

Whoever told the parents their daughter is "probably out drunk somewhere" should be fired. Even if they think that a cop should never give that type of response

Shout out to Sofia’s friends for coming together to solve her case! Those are true friends that really loved her!

It even goes both ways. Letting a random stranger get in your car under the guise of needing help is as potentially dangerous! Please take care!

You're probably too busy to check all your comments, but i'd just like to say thank you Adrian ....your posts are very interesting . I love that you report stories from around the globe, that are lesser known. Your delivery is also very good...clear and strangely calming. Thank you.

The lack of police action whenever someone is reported missing never surprises me but always disappoints

I was 24 at the time & was wrapping up a night of drinking with my “friends”. It was around 2:45AM when I stupidly wandered off and lost my group. I was far from covered up, walking aimlessly in my heels.. no wallet and a dead cellphone. I was still drunk at this point so I sat down on the front steps of this brick stone apartment building, feeling myself starting to doze off. That’s when It hit me that I’m going to be sleeping on the F’ sidewalk tonight. Time had passed & this was Boston .. EVERYTHING was closed because I had walked to a residential area. I get up & stick out my thumb praying someone would notice. 2 cars stopped& I was drunk but not brainless. I gave up and sat back down, crying when this private SUV car pulled up and the driver insisted I get in the car. Once we arrived, I told him to sit still so I could run inside & grab my cash to pay him. He immediately declined. He said all he wanted was for me to never hitchhike ever again. I remember his voice so vividly. I truly believe he was an Angel.

I can't wrap my head around the idea of hitch hiking, nor picking up a hitch hiker. Such a needlessly dangerous thing to do....

This is exactly why I will always take and pick up my child and/his friends at any time of the day. My aunt and paternal grandparents always drilled into us that we can call them at 2, 3, 4am and they would come get us if we ever needed a ride. My whole family was like this but they were the most vocal on my dads side about it. It was important back then and even more is now with how often these things are happening.

So sad and avoidable. I also agree- things need to change as far as the police go. If someone comes to them with a concern- it should be immediately looked into. Being told your loved one just went on a bender? I don’t drink and my family knows that- it wouldn’t be an option for me and if they were told that… ugh. Can’t imagine.

You honestly bring these stories that we would never ever hear of if it wasn’t for you. These stories need to be heard! Your content is the best and the purest! I’ll have a coffee for the forgotten ☕️

I hitchhiked 1 time when I was 15… luckily the boys that picked up my friend and I went to the same high-school as she did and were nice enough to give us a ride while pointing out what we were doing was incredibly dangerous. It’s insane how you think nothing can happen to you at that age. We thanked them and laughed off their warning. Then I watched forensic files a few nights later and it was about a young girl who accepted a ride from a stranger. She was brutally killed as so many are. I’m grateful my stupid mistakes didn’t cost me my life and I finally did open my eyes to the evil in the world.

Isn’t it just horrendous that human beings cannot be trusted to pick up a person needing lift and not murder them.

The ability to end a story well is a talent that Adrian has. Kudos — one of the reasons I look forward to these stories.

I definitely think hitch-hiking is never worth the risk! R.I.P Sophia💔

She was kept alive in that truck with him for quite a long time. If the police had just acted faster, and taken her family and friends seriously (rather than accusing them of being hysterical, and Sophia of being a drunk) They could have rescued her. It is really awful.

As a woman who did some hitchhiking in Florida during the late 80's, I can tell you that 99% of all rides are not "fine". There are so many things that go wrong, from finding out that the driver is drinking to being propositioned. Lots of creepy stuff happens that just doesn't get reported, especially if hitchhiking is not legal in the area. Please, please, please understand that hitchhiking is NOT a safe way to travel.

It is sheer madness to take such a risk to save a few pennies. The guy looked super creepy as well. I feel so bad for the parents.

Hey Adrian, I wanted to recommend a case that took place in Huntsville, Alabama in 1996. It was the infamous cell phone murders that shook the city of Huntsville and the state of Alabama. I really enjoy watching your videos and think you do such an amazing job discussing the details and facts of each case you cover! I look forward to watching more of your videos in '22!

Odd that Bob would send a second picture of himself...with his family, like he was trying to remove any suspicion by showing what a good family man he was. The police in this were disgraceful, like they couldn't be bothered.

Sophia was my age and we were raised not to hitchhike alone or take hitchhikers when alone.
Today, the world seems way more relaxed about it.
