Considering how great the MK7 GTI was new, how great it still is, how well it takes to mods, and that you could buy a MK7 GTI brand new for $23k (6spd manual) - $25k (DSG), the MK7 GTI should be considered the best performance value car of the last decade!! I love mine! Bought it brand new in 2017 for $23k. Tuned it at 2k miles, and it’s gone through a lot of modifications through the years and is an incredible street car!! Due to something I did when working on the car, the motor seized up at 184k miles. Buying a new long block soon for it and building it up once again. I will never sell the car. It’s too good, it’s light, it’s capable, the interior is driver centric, very ergonomic, and has the best of both worlds of it being modern with tech but also analog for driver enjoyment. Just an all-around great car that when modded, is very capable and competes with today’s brand new cars easily.

The 034 Motorsport front camber & roll center kit works phenomenally on my mk7 GTI. They provide some camber & almost 1" on each side of track width. I also run the HPA SHS coilovers which feel more controlled than my previous Bilstein B8 and Neuspeed spring kit did.

Love this form of video showing practical performance doesn't have to cost a mortgage payment and a great recap of the series!
Was there a grand total of the cost of aftermarket parts added?
Didn't catch what size tire was ran when you switched to the aftermarket wheels.

Curious how much a stage 2 tune with a high flow cat downpipe would have done for the car. Supposedly they make around 300 hp to the wheels but more importantly boost comes on a little quicker. I know these turbos come on boost quickly but could be an easy way to get a little more power out of one more part and a re-flash. You already have the upgraded intercooler.

I'm preparing my 7.5R with the same goal in mind as the GTI. I want to put Powerflex front wishbone camber (0.5 neg) adjustable bush and a Superpro offset bush which gives caster+1 and also add the eurosport camber kit (0.8 neg camber). The concern I have with this setup is that camber from the top will put strain on the stock shocks which will wear them faster out? I care about NVH and the bushes might make it harsher. This I will combine with 18inch 8js with 235/40/18s with conti sportcontact7s. Also which stiffness/length on the anti roll bar would you recommend? Great goals and content!

You guys should take the GTI to Sebring.

Great video, thanks. Do you have the link for the brake ducts?

You briefly mention rear toe settings, but I never saw anything else about it. What settings did you guys try, and how did it go for you?
