AirPods Pro, AirPods 2, AirPods 3 and AirPods Max now all have the same firmware version and have been updated to version 4E71. The quickest mine ever updated. They connect quicker too but it took a good 15 seconds for them to switch audio. Hopefully it stops them from connecting while they’re in the case.

If you tap on “version” or “4E71” when you’re in the AirPods info on your iPhone, it changes to “case” “1.3.8”. Also if you tap on the serial number right above you can toggle thru 3 serial numbers.. one for the left airpod, one for the right and one for the case.

The left behind bug I’ve had several times. I take my AirPods Pro to work every day and from time to time when I leave to go home, it says I left them behind even though I know they’re in my backpack. Hopefully it updated while I’m here at work. I also replaced my AirPods max due to connectivity issues. I think AirPods are limited due to Bluetooth standards at the moment.

After the update i was not able to turn the noise canceling or transparency mode on i had to turn it on from the control center

Still miss the magic noise-canceling function in the early days when AirPods Pro was just released. Firmware after firmware the noise-canceling function has been weakening palpably.

I noticed that after this update I am able to check firmware version just in bluetooth menu, without even opening the case.

I was having the same issue with my AirPods Pro where I would get the notification from Find My that they are left behind, when indeed they were always with me. That was very annoying

My replacement pair of AirPods pro have now developed the squelching and hissing with noise cancellation that my original pair had.

I really wish AirPods could be locked to a user's Apple ID. Kinda ridiculous someone can just pick up someone else's AirPods and immediately get a prompt to connect to them.

My AirPods 2 were updated automatically but now my phone doesn’t recognise the right hand side bud anymore… I’ve tried resetting and reconnecting to my phone but no luck. Anyone have any suggestions? Thank you!

Well mine updated and they disconnect every 3 minutes and erase themselves from the Bluetooth list, having the local store take a look at it this weekend ._.
